Schools to Avoid Like the Plague
Let's face it. There is no such thing as a perfect ESL school in China. There are, however, some pretty bad schools and training centers in China that should be avoided. If you had a bad experience with a school, please share with us here.

Fenny, Perlandas and PELCC

I realize that this forum topic is all about bad schools to avoid, but I thought I'd throw in a recruiting service that I had the 'displeasure' to deal with. PELCC is a Shenzhen based recruiting service that lists alot of very attractive jobs on the web but when you go to meet with them, you find out that 1). those great jobs suddenly vanish and 2). you have to garnish 50% of your first month's wages to them and 50% of your first month's wage EVERY year you resign with the school.

Hui Jia

Steer clear of Hui Jia institutions... many fibs told..not even legal to hire foreign teachers which equates to having a 'fishy' place of work on your viza...this I avoided...not for me..you don't need to accept this..if you are a qualified & experienced teacher all things can be above board for you here as anywhere!
