Dear Jean,

Should I bring a credit card to China or can I get one once I have settled down?

Sincerely,

Jill in London

Jean responds to Rod’s question about using credit cards in China

Dear Jill,

It is probably a good idea to bring at least one credit card with you just in case you have an emergency. While there are still many places in China where you cannot use a credit card, it could come in handy if you need to buy a plane ticket on the internet or pay for a hotel room. To the best of my knowledge, only Chinese citizens can obtain VISA and Mastercard credit cards in China. However, you can certainly sign up for a bank account in China and obtain an ATM card that will allow you to withdraw money throughout the nation. Thanks for your question!

Sincerely,

Jean

    Dear Jean,

I am dating lovely Chinese girl for some time and consider this a serious relationship (the same is from her side).

As she is studying in my country, and we both know this will not last forever, we are thinking what will be with us in the future. I would love to be with her, if she wants to stay she can, but I think we will soon discuss our situation, and make some deal, where to go.

    I have two questions:
First – recently she asked me to go with her next year in China. I have accepted it. I am wondering what this means for her? I think it is a sign of deep connection with me and sign what our relation will be.

Second – I am now on post graduate study on internationa study called “Advanced master of European sciences”, have finished Economic University and a few adittional courses. Is it possible to find a decent job in China with?

I know for now, I have 2 more years to prepare myself, but I want to start as soon as possible.

    Thank You for your help.

    Kind regards,
    Vjekoslav
