Please Do Not Be Lonely on Christmas in China

Dear Friends,

I am on Christmas vacation this week but I wanted to wish all of you a Merry Christmas. For those of you who are not going home for the holidays, Christmas week can be a little bit lonely but it doesn’t have to be. These days, you can buy a Christmas tree for next to nothing in China. Decorate your living quarters and invite your friends (Chinese and foreigners) over for a party. Even if you don’t go to that extent, you should at least be able to find a local church where you can attend a Christmas Eve service.

Most importantly, don’t ever forget that living in China is a unique experience that will you never forget. There will be many more Christmases to come but you will always be able to say that you spent at least one Christmas in China.

I will be back on the first Tuesday of next year to continue answering your questions about China. Until then, Happy Holidays from all of us here at TeachAbroadChina.com

Sincerely,

Jean
