2:28 on Monday, May 19th. A chilling moment
Written by Robert Vance on May 19, 2008 – 1:43 amThe wailing sirens have stopped now. The cacophony of car horns have now ceased. 2:28 PM on Monday May 19th, 2008. One week after the horrible earthquake in Sichuan Province. As I looked down upon the city just now, I saw people bowing their heads as they walked along the streets and sidewalks. And I bowed my head too. The 3 days of mourning have now officially begun. My prayers are with the families of the victims in this time of distress and heartbreak. My thoughts are with the rescuers who are still working tirelessly to save a few more lives even though they know that most likely they will only encounter death. And I think of the people throughout China, who are suffering with their brothers in Sichuan. It is a sad day in China; it is a day to mourn.
