Train Collision in Shandong Province

Written by Robert Vance on April 28, 2008 – 2:35 am

I feel bad. I had just posted an article on my website entitled Traveling by Train in China when I saw the developing story about the train collision in Shandong Province. In the article I mention how much I love traveling by train in China. My thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the victims as well as the hundreds  who were injured in the collision. Some of the passengers were probably traveling back to their hometown to participate in the upcoming May Day festivities. For those of us who travel frequently by train in China, this tragedy will not be easily forgotten. It is a sad day for the Chinese people.
