WorknPlay Consulting is a professional ESL recruiting company that has been under contract with the Ministry of Education since 2003, and, as such, we are able to place hundreds of teachers in public school positions every year. These jobs are even preferred over many university professorships among the native English teachers in Korea.

WorknPlay Consulting has a teacher-care program to provide on-going support for teachers who work at the public school system in Korea. WorknPlay Consulting provides a variety of programs such as free or discount tickets to club and performances, ESL teacher's Workshops for provincial offices, and group tours to historical or cultural places. ● Public school positions

A: Public schools in various locations

- Starting Date: End of February, 2009
- Salary: 1.8-2.7 mil won/month (Depends on Qualification)

($1,800-$2,700 monthly)
-Location: various locations including Seoul, Busan, Jeju, and other major and minor            cities

-Teaching levels: Elementary, Middle, High schools

- Working Hours: Mon-Fri 9am-5pm or 8:30am-4:30pm
- Teaching Hours: 22 hours per week
- 300,000 won Settlement pay upon teacher is arrival
- Round trip airfare(one way reimbursed upon teacher is arrival and the other will be paid when you complete your contract, or prepaid)
- 100% Severance pay
- 21 working days paid vacation a year and all Korean national holidays
- 50% medical insurance, 50% national pension plan supported
- Full furnished single housing or housing allowance: 300,000 – 500,000 per month ($300 - $500)

- Total Deduction (Tax + Medical Insurance + National pension) about 15% of your salary

B: High school in Pocheon, Gyeonggi, ASAP

-Starting date: December, 2008

-School Location: Pochen, Gyeonggi (20 mins by bus from Uijeongbu, and there are direct buses to Seoul)

-Housing Location: near the school

-Housing type: Studio room

-Teaching hours: 22 hours per week

-Working hours: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

-Salary: 2.0 - 2.3 million won + 100,000 won (rural beneficiary)

-Paid vacation: 20days + 5days (rural beneficiary)

-Etc: Medical insurance, National pension, Round trip tickets

- Total Deduction (Tax + Medical Insurance + National pension) about 15% of your salary

 

● Private language school positions

A:

Location: Seocho

Naebang station (line no.7)

Number of position: 5

Type of school: Franchised school

Teaching Hours: 130 hours per month - Teaching Kinder-Elementary; 10:00am~7:00pm

Salary: 2.2~2.3 million won (English major)

      2.1~2.2 milion won (1 year experienced)

      2.4~mil won (BEd and 1 year experienced)

Foreign Coworkers: 13 /Korean co-workers:10

Start Date: Feb, 2009

Benefits: Full benefits (air ticket, single housing, medical insurance, end of bonus, visa sponsor, and holiday)

 

 

 

B:

Location: Jamsil , sincheon station(line 2)

Number of Positions: 4

Type of School: Big Franchised school

Teaching Hours: 9:30am~6:30pm (120hrs)

Teaching Level: Kinder~Elementary

Salary:  2.2mil

Foreign Coworkers: 8

Start Date: Middle or End of Feb, 2009

Benefits: Full benefits (air ticket, single or shared housing, medical insurance, end of bonus and visa sponsor, holiday)
